Building a Car Dealership Internet Sales Department? Read This.
I was recently contacted by a new car dealership Internet Manager (who’s never been in the car business before) seeking advice on how to be successful in their new position.
My number one piece of advice for them was to treat the Internet Department like you’re running your own company, with a budget that has to be profitable. In the end, you will be measured by the volume of leads and calls generated, how well those leads and calls are responded to, and the conversion of leads and calls to sales.
Treat the Internet Department like you’re running your own company.
These four things will help you stay ahead of the competition:
- Make sure you have high-quality lead sources.
- Use a quality CRM tool to manage, log and measure all of the interactions
- Implement a consistent contact follow up process in the CRM tool
- Incorporate the best add-on tools out there to automate as many tasks as possible.
